For organisations making measurable progress and able to show they are on track to achieving their Scope 1, 2, and essential Scope 3 Net Zero targets by the required dates.
Essential Net Zero Achieved
For organisations that have achieved net zero for Scope 1, 2, and essential Scope 3, maintaining this achievement with at least a 90% absolute reduction before offsetting any remainder with carbon removal credits.
Comprehensive Levels All Scopes including supply chain & end users
Comprehensive Net Zero Targets Set
For organisations that are measuring emissions and have set targets covering all relevant Scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions, including supply chain emissions and emissions from end users of their products.
Comprehensive Net Zero Targets On Track
For organisations making measurable progress and able to show they are on track to achieving their Net Zero targets across all Scopes 1, 2 and 3 by the required date.
Comprehensive Net Zero Achieved
For organisations that have achieved net zero for all Scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions, maintaining this achievement with at least a 90% absolute reduction compared to the baseline year before offsetting any remainder with carbon removal credits.
Target Setting
Set science-based targets consistent with achieving net zero emissions by 2050.
Verification
Third-party verification is required for Levels E3 and C3, and encouraged for the others.
Reporting
Publicly report progress toward achieving net zero emissions.
Branding
Use a certification mark to demonstrate commitment to net zero.
